Game companies doing game company things | Updates currently irregular

Comic 23: Invasion and Licenses

Just when the game industry seemed to be done for, a new game arrives... Space Invaders. As customer interest in games are revived again, Atari is quick to get the console license for the game... and quickly gets rich from this. She decides more licenses are the way to go... but how long will this last?

Namco, by the way, is a company that has a bunch of history with Atari going back, something I'll talk more about in a later comic.

Also, I tried adding borders around the panels for a better look, let me know what you think!

...I love the concept behind these comics - personifying the various game systems is a really fun idea, and since all your "characters" are tied to developments in the real world you'll probably never run out of material.

Your work strikes me as "writing" based - which is to say the artwork often takes a back seat to the writing (which is fine!) but I might suggest refining your character design if only so you can draw them effortlessly and continue to focus on the humor.

Yes, when I first got the idea for these characters I thought making comics would be a fun idea! Makes it stand out from most other gaming comics too by having the actual companies as characters.

I must admit I sometimes rush the art a bit to just get the comic out already, but I keep getting better (just compare this to any of my newest pages) and I've sometimes done small changes to the character design if I think something would look better.
