Comic 116: Digital Homicide

A comic about the recent Digital Homicide situation - the company trying to sue Steam users over bad reviews (after first going after Jim Sterling - yes, that Jim Sterling). So Valve decided... to just remove them from Steam.

That's what you get for messing with Valve and her Steam users x3

So Valve is a Literal Genie. Got it.

Be careful what you wish for around her...

Heh! I expected this but then figured you might not do it. I actually even expected a bit on the whole NMS fiasco :D

Cool that you did!
I am no lawyer or anything but how the hell did they calculate the money? 15m from Jim and 18m from a hundred of Steam users.
What is worse is that it seems the judge approved of it? Dunno. That could potentially create a terrible precedence for random angry wannabes to sue for every justified bad review.
Hopefully, they will not win. Considering their usual reasoning BS like that whole hilarious interview from before :D

Hehe, sure I did x3

And yeah... Some people just can't take critizism. To be fair some people also sent death threaths and other nasty stuff (which is never acceptable no matter what) and this was also mentioned, but I'm pretty sure the steam users in question just left bad reviews, so they're not the people you should go after? And it started with Jim making a video critiquing them, which they considered "damaging their products and company"...

Don't cross Valve, or they'll banish you to the land of the Threes

by Zanreo at 27th Sep 2016, 11:47 PM

That explains where all those games went...

Oh my goodnesssss
There's an actual company trying to sue Steam users? The gaming industry is WEEEEIRD

by Zanreo at 27th Sep 2016, 11:48 PM

Indeed, and now they're removed because Valve didn't wanna deal with their bullshit anymore

by 3tych at 20th Oct 2016, 6:01 PM

I mean, if you don't want to get bad reviews, make good games :P

by Zanreo at 20th Oct 2016, 6:05 PM

Pretty much, yeah.
